Kelsie Kingstrom joined the Renville County Attorney's staff in November of 2021, and became the Renville County Attorney in April, 2022. Ms. Kingstrom prosecutes gross misdemeanor and felonies, as well as addresses a variety of county legal matters. Ms. Kingstrom takes a strong stance on drug and domestic violence cases, and hopes to bring justice to all victims of crime. She is originally from Rochester, and attended both undergrad and law school in the Twin Cities before moving to Renville County with her husband, a born and raised Renville County resident and local farmer. Ms. Kingstrom clerked for both the Honorable Judge Dwayne Knutsen and Thomas Van Hon in Yellow Medicine and Chippewa Counties before successfully completing the Appalachian Trail. When she returned, she worked for Anderson Larson representing Renville County cities, and then became a felony and gross misdemeanor prosecutor at the Redwood County Attorney’s Office. Ms. Kingstrom enjoys spending time outdoors and being with family. Ms. Kingstrom is also president of the Olivia Lion’s Club.
